As a CNC Machinist at Aberdeen Machine Tool, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, utilizing your expertise in computer numerical control (CNC) machining to produce high-quality components for our machines.

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machine tools to fabricate precise parts that meet the specifications outlined in engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations.
  • Study and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
  • Select the appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials needed for each job.
  • Operate and adjust machine controls to regulate speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth of cut.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements and implement best practices.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, operating various CNC machines.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques.
  • Ability to set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines and related tools.
  • Proficient with precision measuring instruments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot CNC machine issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals and deadlines.
